Privacy Policy

DulyNote is a product operated by Anyfyn Inc., a New York corporation.

Effective Date: February 2026

Governing Law: New York, USA

Overview

DulyNote is a local-first application. Anyfyn Inc. does not operate content servers for your notes, files, bookmarks, collections, exports, or audio recordings. Your content remains on your device unless you choose to export it or send it to third-party services you control.

DulyNote is built to minimize data leaving your device. There is no DulyNote account, and Anyfyn Inc. does not run servers that store your notes, media, or backups. You choose if and where exports are stored.

This Privacy Policy explains what information DulyNote processes, where it is stored, and the choices you have.

1.1 Definitions

  • "App" means the DulyNote mobile application.
  • "Content" means the notes, links, bookmarks, media files, audio notes, and collections you create or import.
  • "Export" means any file you generate from the App (including .dnote, PDF, JSON).
  • "Third-Party Services" means services you optionally connect to, such as cloud storage providers (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Nextcloud, MEGA) or websites you visit or preview.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store on Anyfyn Inc. servers:

  • your Content (notes, files, media, bookmarks, collections, audio recordings),
  • your .dnote packages or other exports,
  • your Recovery Key(s),
  • your cryptographic private keys,
  • your microphone audio streams,
  • biometric templates.

No account is required to use DulyNote.

2.2 Data Stored and Processed Locally

The App stores Content on your device in application-scoped storage (including a local database and filesystem directories).

Examples of on-device stored Content include:

  • notes, links, and media you add,
  • imported bookmarks (including locally extracted icons, where applicable),
  • audio notes you record stored as M4A/AAC files (where supported by your device/OS settings),
  • organizational metadata (collections, tags, sort order),
  • local provenance fields (e.g., Owned vs Inbox labeling) used for on-device organization.

Audio notes are stored locally and are not sent to Anyfyn Inc. or third-party servers by DulyNote, and DulyNote does not perform cloud transcription by default.

2.3 Optional Communications You Initiate

If you contact DulyNote for support (for example by email at [email protected]), we will receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address and the contents of your request). We use this information only to respond to you and provide support.

3. Permissions & Device Access

DulyNote is designed to operate primarily with local, device-scoped storage. Depending on how you use the App and which features you enable, DulyNote may request access to certain device capabilities. Permissions are managed by your operating system and can generally be changed in your device settings.

3.1 Local Storage

DulyNote stores your Content locally in application-scoped storage. This is required for the App to function.

3.2 Photos / Media Selection

If you choose to attach photos, videos, or files, the App may request access to your photo library/media picker and/or user-selected files via the operating system file picker. The App is designed to store attachments within its own application storage rather than requiring commingling with your general camera roll, depending on platform behavior and the workflow you choose.

3.3 Camera

If the App offers in-app capture (taking a photo/video directly into DulyNote), it may request camera permission. Camera access is used only when you explicitly initiate capture.

3.4 Microphone

If you use Audio Notes, the App will request microphone permission. Microphone access is used only while you actively record and only after you explicitly initiate recording. The App does not perform background recording or ambient listening.

3.5 Files Access

DulyNote may request access to user-selected files for importing bookmark HTML files, importing .dnote packages, JSON, PDFs, or other supported import formats, and/or exporting backups/collections to a location you choose. DulyNote only accesses files you select through the operating system file picker.

3.6 Biometrics / App Lock

If you enable App Lock, DulyNote may request biometric authentication permission (Face ID/Touch ID / Android Biometrics). Biometric matching is handled by the operating system. DulyNote receives only a success/failure result and does not access biometric templates.

3.7 Network Access

DulyNote can work offline. Network access is used only for optional features you initiate or enable, such as fetching link metadata/previews (titles/icons) from third-party websites, and/or connecting to third-party cloud storage for user-initiated exports/uploads. During initial bookmark import, the App is designed to avoid automatically contacting bookmarked websites (for example, to reduce favicon-based tracking). If you later open a link or enable previews, network requests may occur as part of that feature.

3.8 Notifications

If the App supports notifications (such as reminders or completion alerts), it may request notification permission. If you do not enable notifications, DulyNote will not send them.

3.9 Your Controls

You can typically grant or revoke permissions in device settings, use DulyNote offline, and choose whether to enable link previews, cloud export, App Lock, and other optional features. Some features may not function without the relevant permission.

4. Network Requests and Third-Party Services

4.1 Bookmark Import Privacy

During initial bookmark import, the App does not make outbound requests to bookmarked websites in order to reduce unintended tracking (for example, via favicon requests).

4.2 Link Previews and Metadata Fetching

When you add links (or when previews are enabled), the App may fetch metadata (such as title or icon) from third-party URLs. Anyfyn Inc. does not add personal identifiers to these requests. Third-party websites may receive standard network information (such as IP address and user agent) from your device as part of normal internet communication. This is controlled by your device and network provider.

4.3 Cloud Storage Providers

If you choose to export to or store backups in a Third-Party Service, that service's privacy practices are governed by its own policies. Anyfyn Inc. does not control and is not responsible for Third-Party Services.

5. Encryption, Exports, and Recovery Keys

DulyNote supports optional encrypted exports using modern cryptographic methods. If you enable encryption:

  • encryption happens on-device before upload,
  • the Recovery Key is not transmitted to Anyfyn Inc.,
  • loss of the Recovery Key makes encrypted exports permanently inaccessible.

Important: Anyfyn Inc. cannot recover your Recovery Key or decrypt your encrypted exports.

6. Data Security

DulyNote is designed to use device security features where available (such as hardware-backed secure storage and OS-level biometrics for App Lock). However, no software system can guarantee absolute security. Your security may depend on your device's operating system, device configuration, and how you store/export data.

You are responsible for safeguarding your device and passcodes, choosing secure storage locations for exports, and protecting Recovery Keys.

7. Deletion and Retention

DulyNote supports soft deletion and permanent deletion. Permanent deletion is irreversible. Copies stored in exports, external storage, or third-party services are outside the App's control. Deleting Content in DulyNote does not delete previously exported copies you stored elsewhere.

8. Selling or Sharing Data

Anyfyn Inc. does not sell your Content. Anyfyn Inc. does not operate advertising systems that monetize your Content.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Because DulyNote is local-first and Anyfyn Inc. does not store your Content on its servers, most data access and deletion actions can be completed directly within the App (export, delete, and manage Content locally).

If you contact us for support, you may request deletion of support communications by contacting us using the information below.

10. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The App does not require accounts.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as features evolve. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
