Inbox & Organization

How the Inbox Works

The Inbox is a staging area for items shared with you — review and curate before anything enters your permanent library.

Documentation/Inbox & Organization/How the Inbox Works

The Inbox serves as a staging area for items shared with you that have not yet been added to your permanent library. Unlike other tools that automatically merge shared content into your personal files, DulyNote keeps incoming items separate.

Purpose of the Inbox

The Inbox gives you control over what enters your library:

  • Maintain Organization: Your personal library remains uncluttered by unreviewed content.
  • Verify Security: Each item can be reviewed for sender and digital signature before acceptance.
  • Curate Deliberately: You retain full control over what is kept or discarded.

Using the Inbox

Access the Inbox tab to view all shared items:

  • Collection Tabs: Each imported .dnote package appears in its own tab.
  • Clear Labels: Tabs are named using the collection name assigned during import.
  • Full Features: Inbox items retain the same metadata, previews, and links as items in your main library.
💡 Tip Use the Inbox as a temporary workspace for short-term projects. When the work is complete, simply delete the items instead of adding them to your permanent library.
