How to Add Media

Photos, videos, and voice memos — saved privately on your device, never uploaded to a cloud service.

Documentation/Getting Started/How to Add Media

DulyNote is a private media vault as much as it is a notes app. Capture photos, videos, and voice memos directly or import from your camera roll — all stored locally.

Photos & Videos

Add photos and videos from your camera roll or capture new ones:

  1. Tap the (+) button.
  2. Select Photo/Video.
  3. Choose from your library or tap the camera icon to capture new media.
  4. Add optional tags and a note, then save.

DulyNote preserves the original file quality. Photos are stored with their EXIF metadata intact.

Voice Memos

Record voice memos directly within DulyNote:

  1. Tap the (+) button and select Voice Memo.
  2. Tap the record button to start recording.
  3. Tap stop when finished.
  4. Add a title and tags, then save.

Voice memos are stored as .m4a files in your local vault.

"Visual Vault" Mode

Visual Vault is a display mode that hides all text — titles, descriptions, and tags — showing only thumbnails in a clean grid. This is useful when you want a visual-only view of your media collection, or when you need privacy in public.

Enable it in Settings → Display → Visual Vault.

💡 Tip Use the Pro encryption feature to encrypt media collections before sharing or backing them up. Encrypted packages require your Recovery Key to open.
