Receive & Import Collections

When someone shares a .dnote package with you, DulyNote places it in your Inbox for review before any data is added to your permanent library. This keeps your collection clean and lets you verify the source.

Receiving a .dnote File

You can receive a .dnote file through any channel — AirDrop, email, Messages, or a file-sharing service. To open it:

1. Tap the .dnote file in any app.
2. Select Open with DulyNote (or it may open automatically if DulyNote is set as the default handler).
3. If the package is encrypted, enter the sender's Recovery Key when prompted.
4. Select Restore from Package.
5. Locate and select the .dnote file using the file picker.
6. DulyNote will process the file and begin verification.

Verification

Before importing any data, DulyNote verifies the package:

• Signer Identification: The package's digital signer ID is compared with your device ID.
• Owned vs. Inbox: Matching IDs mark the collection as Owned. Non-matching IDs place the collection in your Inbox for review.

Inbox Review

Imported collections are kept separate from your main library until you approve them:

• Review: Inspect the collection in isolation.
• Save: Select items to replicate into your permanent library.
• Source Labels: All imported items are automatically tagged with their origin (for example, [From: Project X]).
